The Ireland Brothers From Ontario's Northumberland County are The Ireland Brothers Band, known for theireclectic fusion of roots, blues, country and rock. Their sound, stage presence and tight,energetic performances have been impressing audiences across Canada. Such performancesinclude the renowned Havelock Country Jamboree. From that exposure they have had theopportunity to work with several Canadian and international artists including Blue Rodeo'sGreg Keelor, The Good Brothers, Charlie Major, Corb Lund, The Sadies, Jet Williams, JamesMckenty & The Spades, The Hawks, Washboard Hank, Blackie & The Rodeo Kings StephenFearing, Elliott Brood, and Justin Rutledge to name a few. In October 2008 they launched therelease of their debut album, Far From The City Lights, at the Dakota Tavern in downtownToronto. The album is appropriately titled, as it gives you a true sense of their roots in rootsmusic. Brothers Daniel and Dylan and dedicated friends Liam Wilson, Chad Tremblett, andJoe Hay make up this talented group of musicians and songwriters. Daniel and Dylan front theband, alternating lead vocals with Daniel on rhythm guitar and Dylan on lead. Liam plays bass,Chad the drums and Joe a recent addition to the band, plays banjo and additional guitar.Together they have a unique but accessible sound that has become a staple in the music sceneof Ontario cities including Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, and Peterborough. The Brotherscontinue to write and record between weekly performances, with additional touring endeavorswell underway.
